Manchester City have been boosted by the return of left-back Benjamin Mendy to training ahead of the Schalke game and Carabao Cup final this weekend.
Mendy joined Vincent Kompany and Eliaquim Mangala, two other defenders who have just returned to training after injuries, in today’s session.
None of the trio will be available for the Schalke game, with City stating that it may be a week or so before they are available for selection.
Mendy has been sidelined again with swelling to a knee after returning from a second serious injury since his big money arrival from Monaco.
The hope will be that the talented Frenchman can stay fit now and help City as they fight on four fronts for trophies this season.
