Stoke sign young Manchester City full-back on permanent deal

Stoke City have completed the signing of Manchester City academy left-back Ryan Corrigan on a permanent deal.

The 18-year-old has featured eight times this season in the U18 Premier League for City, and will continue his career with the Championship side.

Liverpool-born Republic of Ireland youth international Corrigan began his career at Everton before joining the City academy in 2015 and was handed his first professional deal in 2017.

Corrigan will initially join Stoke’s academy with the hope of progressing to their first-team squad.

He is the latest of numerous youth players to leave the club this winter, with the two most high profile departures being Brahim Diaz to Real Madrid and Rabbi Matondo to Schalke.
