Highly-rated young midfielder Ante Palaversa is a step closer to joining Manchester City after he was flew out from Resnik Airport to Manchester today.
18-year-old Palaversa, who plays for Hajduk Split and captains Croatia’s under-19 side, is on the verge of joining Manchester City for an initial €4.8 million, although it is said the deal could reach as much as €9 million in future.
Hajduk are now said to have accepted City’s offer with Palaversa given permission to fly to England.
And he is now en route to the Etihad, having left Resnik Airport on a flight to Frankfurt, where he will connect to Manchester.
Once in Manchester, the teenager will undergo a medical and sign a long-term contract with City, before returning to Hajduk on loan.
Croatian media outlet 24sata posted footage and photos of Palaversa at the airport as he moves closer to becoming City’s biggest signing of the January transfer window.
