Manchester City-owned winger Uriel Antuna will continue his development in the United States with Los Angeles Galaxy.
City Watch has learned that Antuna’s loan move to the Major League Soccer side is now a done deal, with the contract signed on Friday.
The move has been in the making for a while and is now only missing official confirmation from the clubs.
Antuna joined City from Santos Laguna in 2017 and was quickly loaned to Dutch side FC Groningen on a two-season deal, but they decided to cut it short by six months this winter after the Mexico under-21 international wasn’t getting many games.
Santos Laguna were interested in re-signing their former prodigy, but have instead taken Colombia winger Marlos Moreno on loan from the Etihad.
Antuna, a Mexico under-21 international, will now play alongside the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and the Dos Santos brothers in L.A.
