Bayern Munich are not only targetting Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi but one of Manchester City’s young wing wizards, it is reported.
18-year-old Rabbi Matondo, who has already won his first Wales cap under Ryan Giggs, has been linked with a move away from the Etihad Stadium, with another Bundesliga side, Borussia Monchengladbach, recently claimed to be in the lead for the youngster.
However, Gladbach could face local rivalry with Sun Sport today reporting that Bayern Munich are ready to launch a £10 million bid for the speedy Matondo, who has so far turned down new contract offers from City.
Premier League sides Everton and Southampton are also weighing up bids for Matondo, another hot prospect off the CFA production line.
Matondo has trained with Pep Guardiola’s first team and the hope is still that he will stay, but if he refuses a new contract, the club may be forced to cash in, with Bayern Munich now entering the race for the former Cardiff youth.
