Manchester City’s run of home games comes to an end today as the Blues visit the John Smith’s Stadium to take on Huddersfield, a fixture City needed a late Raheem Sterling strike to win last season.
Huddersfield lost their manager David Wagner during the week, so it’s anyone’s guess how they will respond to that. Will they be fired up to show interim coach Mark Hudson what they are capable of? Or will heads drop after the affable German left the club.
City need a win to maintain the pressure on relentless Liverpool and will hope to keep up a five-match winning streak in all competitions.
Andre Marriner is today’s referee and here are the lineups selected by Pep and Hudson to start the match.
Huddersfield Town XI: Lossl, Smith, Kongolo, Hogg, Bacuna, Kachunga, Diakhaby, Lowe, Mbenza, Schindler, Puncheon
Manchester City XI: Ederson, Walker, Otamendi, Laporte, Danilo, Fernandinho (c), Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sané, Sterling, Aguero
The match can be viewed on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK. A full list of TV coverage across the world can be found here.
