Manchester City are close to loaning Mexican winger Uriel Antuna to Major League Soccer club Los Angeles Galaxy, Kevin Baxter of the L.A. Times reports.
Antuna saw his two-season loan spell with Dutch side FC Groningen cut short by six months recently after a lack of game time, and the club City signed him from in Mexico, Santos Laguna, had expressed an interest in taking him back.
However, it looks like a spell in the USA beckons for the 21-year-old with LA Galaxy close to clinching a loan deal. The move will see him line up alongside Zlatan Ibrahimović and the Dos Santos brothers at the Dignity Health Sports Park.
.@LAGalaxy close to a deal that would bring 21-yr-old Mexican MF Uriel Antuna to the team on a loan from Manchester City. The Dennis te Kloese Mexican correction strikes. Team is also near a deal w/ Diego Polento, an outside back from Uruguay. That's the Schelotto connection
