Serie A side Atalanta have struck an agreement to sign young Manchester City midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru, according to Sky Italia.
The 19-year-old has featured for Pep Guardiola’s first-team, replacing Phil Foden in the Carabao Cup tie against in 2017, and playing the whole of extra time.
And it was revealed during Calciomercato l’Originale on Sky Italia that Atalanta have closed a deal for the prospect, with the only question being whether he’ll arrive in January or June.
Dele-Bashiru, a former England youth international, is under contract until the summer and City have been unwilling to meet his requests for a new deal.
A number of hot prospects are leaving the Etihad for top leagues, with Jadon Sancho and Brahim Diaz leading the way, while Rabbi Matondo and Matt Smith’s futures are also in doubt with Bundesliga clubs interested in the two Wales internationals.
