Barcelona were on the cusp of losing one of their brightest young talents, but are now close to keeping hold of Ilaix Moriba, the Yaya Touré-esque wonderkid Manchester City have been confident of signing.
As recently as Monday, City were said to be very confident of signing Ilaix after he turns 16 on Saturday, but Gerard Romero, a top Barcelona source, tonight has new information.
Romero told Esports RAC1 that Barcelona are very close to getting Ilaix to sign a new deal having made a big offer to him, which will see him snub both City and Juventus, who were also making a big push to sign him.

Considered a potential first teamer for Barcelona, Ilaix’s skill set has been described as perfect for English football and City were hoping to add him to their burgeoning ranks of elite young players, but now look set to miss out.
