The 19-year-old who hails from Stockport caught the eye in pre-season with a series of impressive performances against the likes of Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund.
Though an attacker by trade who is used on the right wing, Bolton has also featured at right-back and played there during City’s tour of America, making a good impression.
And Bolton, an England under-20 international, has now agreed to prolong his stay at the Etihad and will head out on loan, with his destination soon to be announced.
