Earlier today we reported on interest from Ecuadorian giants Barcelona S.C. in Manchester City winger Marlos Moreno, who is being linked to clubs all over the world as he searches for somewhere to play.
This evening a new report from Italy suggests the 22-year-old could be Serie A-bound, with two Italian clubs entering the race for the player and said to be ahead of other competition.
An exclusive report by TMW says SPAL and Bologna are in the lead for Moreno, and if that is true, he could soon get to play in one of Europe’s top leagues.
Both clubs see Marlos as a player with different characteristics to those they already have in attacking departments and are keen to add him to their ranks for the second half of the season.
Were the player to join either SPAL or Bologna, it would be a loan deal. Moreno is under contract with Manchester City until 2021 with the club looking to restore the big reputation he had when they invested £4.75 million to sign him from Atlético Nacional in his homeland.
The list of teams now linked with Marlos Moreno by various media around the world is SPAL (Italy), Bologna (Italy), Sivasspor (Turkey), São Paulo (Brazil), Palmeiras (Brazil), Club Atlético Peñarol (Uruguay) and Barcelona S.C. (Ecuador).
Though his previous loan moves haven’t panned out, it is clear that there are plenty of teams willing to bet on the potential of City’s young Colombian.
