“Be proud of who you are” Raheem Sterling pens incredible letter to racism victim

Raheem Sterling knows what it feels like to be the victim of a witch hunt and racist abuse, so when young Manchester City fan Ethan Ross suffered racist abuse, the England winger decided to write a letter of support.

Raz’s message to young Ethan has been shared across social media today and while short, sends a clear message as he encouraged the boy to ‘stand tall and be proud’ of who he is, adding that the bullies should not ‘take away his courage’.

The 24-year-old has become a figurehead for anti-racism campaigns lately after suffering repeated abuse in recent years, including an unprovoked racist attack at City’s training ground in December 2017.
