Referee appointed for Manchester City vs. Wolves (14/1/2019)

Craig Pawson will take charge of his second Manchester City game this season when the Blues host Wolves next Monday night.

It could be a tricky game for City as Wolves have shown the ability to get big results against big teams, having held City to a draw in the reverse fixture, and just last night knocking Liverpool out of the FA Cup.

39-year-old Pawson will have the whistle, his first City assignment since the 3-1 win over Everton in mid-December.

Last season, City won all five games under Pawson, including the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal and the 4-1 drubbing of Tottenham.

For Wolves, this will be Pawson’s third game this season after he was in charge of their 2-2 draw with Everton and 2-0 league defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.
