Manchester City vs. Liverpool: Starting Lineups & TV Information (De Bruyne on the bench)

Premier League champions Manchester City host Premier League leaders Liverpool this evening at the Etihad Stadium in the biggest match of the 2018-19 season.

City got back on track at the weekend with a 3-1 win over Southampton but remain 7 points behind Klopp’s Liverpool after a festive slump. The signs were good on Sunday however, with Fernandinho’s return restoring some balance to the side.

A win tonight would reignite the title race but a defeat would make retaining the league a long shot for City, despite so much football still left to play. The world is watching.

Anthony Taylor is tonight’s referee and here are the sides selected by Pep Guardiola and Jurgen Klopp with Kevin De Bruyne on the bench and Laporte at left-back!

Manchester City XI: Ederson, Danilo, Stones, Kompany (c), Laporte, Fernandinho, David Silva, Bernardo Silva, Sané, Sterling, Aguero

Liverpool XI: Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Van Dijk, Robertson, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Mane

The match can be viewed on Sky Sports Premier League in the UK. A full list of TV coverage across the world can be found here.
