The agent of Oleksandr Zinchenko has admitted that they will listen to offers for the versatile Manchester City in the youngster – but added that he is going nowhere this month.
Zinchenko has been commonly linked with a move away from City due to a lack of weekly football, but another long-term injury to Benjamin Mendy has meant the Ukraine international has seen opportunities at left-back.
Speaking to Radio Marte in Italy, Alan Prudnikov, who represents the player, revealed his current level of happiness, City’s stance, and the possibility of a future transfer.
“It’s still not enough [for him] to be happy, but the situation is better than two months ago,” Prudnikov said. “He’s played three games in the Champions League, we appreciated these chances he had – he needs this to develop.
“We’re always open to possible solutions for the lad. In this transfer window, City do not want to sell him because they need him, but we remain at the window to listen to other offers, especially for the summer.”
Napoli almost signed Zinchenko a couple of years ago only for Maurizio Sarri to change his plans, which led to the player becoming one of the surprise success stories last season under Guardiola.
Aleks’ agent said relations with the Naples club remain strong, but that he would cost much more now if the Serie A outfit returned for him.
“Relations with Napoli have been excellent since the last meeting in the summer of 2017. But compared to that time, the price of the lad has grown a lot, and to buy him will be complicated.”
