Gabriel Jesus injury update as Brazilian misses Manchester City’s trip to Leicester

A surprising absence off the Manchester City team bus this afternoon was Gabriel Jesus, who along with compatriot Fernandinho didn’t travel with the squad for today’s game against Leicester.

Thankfully, after a host of injuries to Pep Guardiola’s players lately, it is not a serious one for 21-year-old Jesus, who is missing today with a ‘slight knock’.

Fernandinho continues his recovery and continues to be missed, but David Silva travelled with the squad and is on the bench and in line to play his first minutes since the defeat to Chelsea earlier in the month.

Two star players recently back from injury, Sergio Aguero and Kevin De Bruyne, both start with the duo now seemingly ready to play 90 minutes in what may well be a must-win game for the Blues, with Liverpool four points ahead and hosting Newcastle today.
