Merry Christmas, Blues! And there is a special present for all today with news that David Silva has recovered from a hamstring injury sustained in Manchester City’s 2-0 defeat to Chelsea earlier this month.
The 32-year-old was fully involved in training on Christmas Day ahead of the Boxing Day clash with Leicester, and is in contention to play a part in a match City need to win to try and stay in touch with Liverpool.
Silva’s injury came at a bad time in the hectic festive period, but his return is a huge boost, and with Kevin De Bruyne also back, the Blues now have their full contingent of creative midfielders available.
El Mago has been in stunning form this season, scoring 8 goals and registering 4 assists in 19 appearances for the champions.
