Leicester City will be without England left-back Ben Chilwell tomorrow night when they face Manchester City in the quarter-finals of the Carabao Cup.
Chilwell, 21, has recently been linked with a £50 million move to City, with Pep Guardiola concerned about Benjamin Mendy’s fitness, forcing converted left-backs Fabian Delph and Oleksandr Zinchenko to share the load in that role.
Along with Chilwell, the Foxes will be without long-term absentee Daniel Amartey, while star striker Jamie Vardy is a doubt, with Claude Puel stating the England international may need a rest after just returning from injury at the weekend.
Another England star, Harry Maguire, has been passed fit following an injury scare against Crystal Palace, but Leicester will be without one-time Manchester City target Jonny Evans, who is suspended.
Vardy’s absence could mean former City striker Kelechi Iheanacho leading the line against his former club. Since his £25 million move from the Etihad to King Power Stadium, Nigerian forward Iheanacho has scored 10 goals in 47 appearances.
