Since the tragic terrorist attack on the Manchester Arena in 2017, the Manchester Bee has become a symbol of unity and defiance in the wake of the attack.
All across Manchester, the bee can be seen in every day life, whether as an arm tattoo, on t-shirts or graffiti down side streets. The bee even appeared on City’s shirt briefly, but what about a kit design based on it?
There hasn’t been one made, but graphic designer KIFTH has kindly shared with City Watch his concept of what a Nike version of a “Manchester Bee” could look like.
Our view is that it would have and would still be a stunning kit – or even pre-match training top – for the players to wear and being a symbol of Manchester, would make sense on every level!
Maybe PUMA will consider the idea when they replace Nike, but here is KIFTH’s lovely concept of a Nike “Manchester Bee” Man City shirt:
