It was a tough slog for Manchester City in the opening 45 minutes of their final Champions League Group F game against Hoffenheim.
Pep Guardiola’s men were under par for much of the first half and fell behind after Andrej Kramaric scored from the penalty spot. City upped the tempo and came close to scoring three times, twice hitting the woodwork…
… and then Leroy Sané made his presence felt right on the stroke of half-time with an absolute banger of a free kick from long range!
Sané got plenty of power and curl on his strike which Hoffenheim goalkeeper Oliver Baumann couldn’t keep out. That meant City went into the break on level terms, with Leroy’s beauty making the score 1-1.
