Ajax midfielder Frenkie de Jong favours a move to Barcelona from Ajax next summer, but is not ruling out a transfer to Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City either.
Speaking to Club de la Mitjanit, well-known journalist Oriol Domènech revealed his information about the 21-year-old’s plans with many different versions currently circulating about where De Jong will play in future.
According to Domènech, De Jong does favour a move to Barcelona slightly ahead of City, with PSG behind in third place.

On Friday, Barcelona phoned De Jong’s representatives for further talks, while Domènech also revealed that Pep Guardiola has spoken to the Dutch international TWICE.
Frenkie is said to be waiting to see what Barcelona do, as his large price-tag could yet put the Catalan giants off buying him, with the likes of Adrien Rabiot also on their list of targets.
The word from Spain, therefore, is that City are still very much in the race for Dutch sensation De Jong, but may have to wait until Barcelona decide what to do.
