Real Madrid expect to make Manchester City sensation Brahim Diaz their next signing, be it in the winter transfer window or at the end of the summer when his contract expires.
The Madrid press are so excited about snatching the 19-year-old from Manchester City that he is front page news today, appearing on the cover of Marca.
One of Marca’s rival publications, AS, seem to agree that Brahim has his eyes set on a move to the Santiago Bernabéu, but have thrown some doubt into the story that could yet give Blues optimism of Brahim sticking around.
According to AS, not only have Paris Saint-Germain made a move to ‘seduce’ Brahim to Ligue 1 – one he is likely to reject – the player’s agent, Pere Guardiola, brother of Pep and part-owner of Girona FC with the CFG, has ‘asked for patience’ and wants to listen to all offers.
Pere not only wants to assess the offers coming from clubs such as Madrid and PSG, but also City’s offer of a renewal to keep Diaz at the Etihad Stadium, something that has been looking less and less certain as time has passed.
The likelihood remains that Brahim Diaz will follow Jadon Sancho out of City and in his case head to the bright lights of Madrid, but it doesn’t seem to be 100 per cent set in stone yet.
