Manchester City lead a pack of top European clubs in pursuit of long-term
love interest target Isco, who is increasingly likely to leave Real Madrid in the summer, Diario SPORT reports.
Yes indeed, the annual Isco rumours are back with El Chiringuito TV recently going as far as to claim the 26-year-old has offers on the table from City and Chelsea.
A new story from SPORT today says Isco has lost the support of both board members and teammates at the Santiago Bernabéu, having seldom been used by new coach Santiago Solari.
Isco is allegedly not in tune with Solari’s methods in training and is ‘going to another rhythm’, leading to him becoming something of an outcast lately.
The midfielder’s position is close to becoming ‘untenable’ with a summer exit looking more and more likely, and of course it is Manchester City who are listed as the most interested club, having been linked with the gifted playmaker since 2013 – when he came so close to joining Manuel Pellegrini at the Etihad Stadium.
It is claimed that City are willing to ‘throw the house out the window’ for Isco, which is a Spanish term to essentially say ‘spare no expense’, with Pep Guardiola a big admirer of the Spain international.
Other clubs are interested in Isco, with Chelsea, Liverpool, Juventus and Napoli all mentioned.
Isco is under contract with the European champions until 2022 and has a prohibitive release clause of €700 million, but should he leave, you could probably knock a 0 off that price-tag.
