Manchester City have two quick-fire games coming up as the hectic festive period of fixtures kicks in, and referees for both have today been announced by the Premier League.
First up is a home game against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday, with Stuart Attwell appointed referee for that one.
Attwell has already had one City game this season, the 3-0 win over Fulham in the league, a match in which the 36-year-old didn’t hand out a single card. City will hope for an equally uneventful day for the Warwickshire-born referee at the weekend.

Fourth official: Anthony Taylor
Next Tuesday, City face a potentially tricky trip to Javi Gracia’s Watford and it’ll be Paul Tierney in charge.
It’ll be Tierney’s first City appointment of the 2018/19 season, but he had the whistle for four Premier League games involving the Blues last season – all of them wins, and three of them by 3-1 scorelines.
