Real Madrid are hoping to clinch a deal for Manchester City contract rebel Brahim Diaz, who looks poised to quit the Etihad Stadium after rejecting a new deal at the club.
Jose Alvarez reported on Sunday that the 19-year-old has already agreed to join Los Blancos, and it is looking like a question of when, not if.
And reporting for Cadena SER in Spain, journalist Manu Carreño has revealed that Madrid will make an attempt to sign Diaz in the winter transfer market, six months before his City contract expires.

Knowing the difficulty of doing business in January, the European champions are also quite happy to wait until summer when Brahim’s contract at the Etihad is up.
Losing the talented teen would come as another blow to City, who watched Jadon Sancho leave in 2017. Local boy Phil Foden is set to stick around and sign a new deal, and similar talents are coming through the blossoming youth system – but the challenge will be holding on to them.
Diaz scored twice against Premier League side Fulham in the Carabao Cup at the start of November but hasn’t played a minute of football since. He is expected to be on the bench tonight when City play Lyon after a host of injuries to big names.
