Manchester City will travel to the King Power Stadium to face Leicester City in the Carabao Cup quarter finals after the Foxes won their much delayed fourth round game against Southampton tonight.
Leicester needed a penalty shoot-out to beat Southampton at home to secure a big game against City in the next round.
City beat Fulham in the fourth round but had to wait weeks to learn who they would face in the quarters as they look to retain the Carabao Cup after winning last year’s edition with a win over Arsenal at Wembley.
Claude Puel’s side winning tonight means the their game against City will be televised live on Sky Sports on Tuesday 18 December. It will also mean a return to Leicester for Riyad Mahrez, who left the club to join City in the summer.
