Portugal have officially announced that Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva is out of their game tomorrow against Poland with what O JOGO describe as ‘physical problems’.
Without elaborating as to what the specific problem is, Portugal confirmed that Bernardo was not present for training today and will be unavailable for Tuesday’s match in Guimaraes.
Bernardo played the whole 90 minutes in Portugal’s 0-0 draw with Italy on Saturday and while there did not appear to be any problem with his fitness then, something has come up now.
The former Monaco star is expected to return to Manchester and we can only hope whatever the problem is, it isn’t serious.
24-year-old Bernardo has been in terrific form for Pep Guardiola’s Man City side this season and picked up two assists in the Manchester derby prior to the international break.
