After missing out on Jorginho to Chelsea last summer, Manchester City could return to Naples in pursuit of another Napoli star with Brazilian midfielder Allan said to be attracting interest from Pep Guardiola.
According to Italian source calciomercato.com, the 27-year-old is the ‘object of desire’ of major European clubs, with Chelsea, coached by former Napoli boss Maurizio Sarri, cited as an example.
And it’s further claimed that in recent weeks, Manchester City have made enquiries about the player, who Pep Guardiola named as a player he admires prior to one of last season’s matches between City and Napoli.

At 27, a little younger than when Fernandinho joined City, Allan is older than recently linked midfield targets such as Frenkie de Jong — widely reported to be the number one target — Ruben Neves, Tanguy Ndombele and Adrien Rabiot, but having starred for Napoli could be seen as a tried and tested option for the City midfield.
For now City are said to have only requested information on the player, who could receive his first Brazil cap in the current international break, and he may well go on a list of potential summer targets to reinforce the midfield.
