Manchester United have been given a scare leading into Sunday’s Manchester derby with club-record signing Paul Pogba missing training on Friday.
The 25-year-old, who scored a quick-fire double in last season’s equivalent fixture to help United to a comeback win over City, has what the press is describing as a ‘little injury’.
World Cup winner Pogba worked alone indoors at Carrington today while his Manchester United teammates geared up for Sunday’s game against City.
Romelu Lukaku, who has missed United’s last two games, including their big midweek win over Juventus, is also a doubt for derby day with Jose Mourinho waiting to see if he might be available.
Both Pogba and Lukaku have one more training session left to prove their fitness before Manchester United take on Manchester City.
In the blue half, Pep Guardiola confirmed earlier today that only Kevin De Bruyne is unavailable as far as outfield players go.
