The Manchester derby always draws attention from around the world, and a WWE superstar has chimed in with his prediction for Sunday’s clash between Manchester City and Manchester United at the Etihad.
Dolph Ziggler, who visited the Etihad last season as part of a WWE promotional tour, told the BBC that he reckons City will edge the derby — and favours them because he got to hang out with with the team.
Dolph told the BBC, “I have got to go with the team that I have actually talked to and hung out with and thought they were great, so I am going to stick with Manchester City – although it is going to be a close one. 3-2.”
United beat City 3-2 at the Etihad last season, so Ziggler’s prediction would see the opposite result transpire and one City fans would take for sure this weekend.
Manchester United go into the derby already 9 points behind City and if they’re to have any chance of catching their rivals they need a good result.
A win for City would propel their title defence, which currently sees them 2 points clear of Chelsea and Liverpool after 11 games.
