The Manchester derby is days away with Manchester City set to host neighbours Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United side are 9 points behind City, who top the Premier League table after eleven weeks of matches ahead of Chelsea and Liverpool.
And in news that may not go over well with some Citizens, Anthony Taylor of Altrincham, long suspected by blues to be a Manchester United supporter, has been put in charge of the derby.
It’ll be Taylor’s first City appointment of the season and his second for United after being in charge of their 3-2 win over Newcastle in October.
Match appointments for Manchester City vs. Manchester United (11/11/2018):
Referee: Anthony Taylor
Assistants: Gary Beswick, Adam Nunn
Fourth official: Craig Pawson
