The 25-year-old, who has been inconsistent this season with just 4 goals in 14 games after 27 in 51 last season, sustained a muscular injury whilst training and is certain to miss Manchester United’s important Champions League clash with Juventus tomorrow.
And he is also considered a doubt for Sunday afternoon’s derby against City, which would force Mourinho to consider his options for who would lead the line against City’s high-performing defence.
Lukaku has a poor record against City, being on the winning side in just 3 of his 13 games against the blues, and scoring 5 times.
