Pep Guardiola has been nominated for October’s Barclays Manager of the Month award after Manchester City went unbeaten last month, with results including an away win over Tottenham and draw against Liverpool at Anfield.
City’s only other league game in October was the 5-0 drubbing of Burnley at the Etihad, and it was a good month for the Premier League champions.
Guardiola faces tough competition for his sixth Manager of the Month award however, with three other unbeaten bosses in October and also nominated. They are Eddie Howe (Bournemouth), Chris Hughton (Brighton) and Maurizio Sarri (Chelsea).

Guardiola made history in 2017 by becoming the first man to win the Manager of the Month award four times in a row after receiving it in September, October, November and December 2017, after previously winning it in February.
