Brahim Diaz’s first goal in a competitive game for Manchester City was enough for the Blues to go into half-time 1-0 up against Fulham in the Carabao Cup fourth round.
In a dominant first half display, City had plenty of chances but only young Brahim, aided by a Aleksandar Mitrović, hit the net.
Diaz’s powerful shot in the box ricocheted off Mitrović and deceived Fulham goalkeeper Sergio Rico, and given that Brahim’s shot was on target, he’ll be claiming it as his first official City first team goal.
The 19-year-old is strongly rumoured to be leaving City when his contract is up at the end of the season, with Real Madrid among his suitors, but the Premier League champions haven’t given up on keeping him yet.
