Sergio Aguero’s international exile goes on as Manchester City teammate is called up

Sergio Aguero will once again play no part in Argentina’s internationals later this month after being excluded from the latest squad by head coach Lionel Scaloni.

Aguero is one of several big names currently not being summoned by Argentina, along with his close friend Lionel Messi, who is taking time off from the national team, and former Manchester United winger Angel Di Maria.

Nicolas Otamendi, who is back in favour for Selección Argentina, has been included for a double header against Mexico on 17 November and 20 November.

Former City-owned goalkeeper Geronimo Rulli is also in the squad. City’s buy-back option on the Real Sociedad stopper has now expired, but they will receive a percentage of his next sale.
