Manchester City’s defence of the Carabao Cup continues tonight at the Etihad Stadium with a fourth round game against Premier League side Fulham. The winners will face either Leicester or Southampton away from home in the quarter finals.
Pep Guardiola has always said that this competition is the least of his priorities and that is reflected in his selection tonight, but even with weakened sides, City lifted the Carabao Cup trophy last season following an easy win over Arsenal at Wembley and have won it three times in recent years.
Martin Atkinson is tonight’s referee with Mike Dean and Darren Cann on VAR duty, and here are the sides selected by Guardiola and his counterpart Slaviša Jokanović.
Manchester City XI: Muric, Danilo, Kompany (c), Stones, Zinchenko, Delph, Brahim, De Bruyne, Foden, Sané, Jesus
Fulham XI: Rico, Fosu-Mensah, Odoi, Ream, Sessegnon, Seri, Cairney (c), Anguissa, Vietto, Schurrle, Mitrovic
