Marseille youngster Boubacar Kamara says he is not looking to join Manchester City or any other foreign club right now, amid further reports that the Premier League club are interested in him.
The France under-20 international and his family held talks with City over FaceTime in 2017, before deciding to stay at OM.
And it appears City still have their scouts watching the defender, who has been compared to PSG’s Thiago Silva, as he was quizzed about City’s interest during an interview with Canal+ on Sunday.
“Manchester City? No, frankly, it’s always good that clubs are interested in you, but right now I’m not going abroad,” Kamara said.
“I’m focusing on Marseille and I’m not thinking about anything other than that.”
Despite his tender years, Kamara has already made 13 appearances for Marseille this season, most recently featuring against Lazio in the Europa League, and continuing his development at Stade Vélodrome seems to be a wise choice for now.
