Manchester City travel to Tottenham next Monday night for a controversially rearranged fixture that will take place on the battered surface of Wembley Stadium.
Wembley is currently hosting several NFL games, with the pitch expected to be below its best condition when the champions visit next Monday for a big game against Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham side.
Tasked with the job of overseeing the game will be referee Kevin Friend, who has been given his second City assignment of the 2018-19 Premier League season.
Friend was in charge as City overcame Newcastle 2-1 at the Etihad on the opening day of September, while last season he surprisingly did not officiate a single league game for City, though was in charge as they beat Wolves on penalties in the Carabao Cup.
Tottenham had a host of league games under Friend last year, winning three, drawing two, and not losing any.
Match appointments for Tottenham vs. Manchester City (29/10/2018):
Referee: Kevin Friend
Assistants: Stuart Burt, Matthew Wilkes
Fourth official: Andre Marriner
