AC Milan and Spain international Suso is flattered to have been linked with Manchester City, after claiming that he has read of the English club’s interest in him.
Twice-capped Suso is subject to interest from some prominent European clubs after shining for Milan, with Real Madrid and Barcelona in his homeland credited with an interest.
We at City Watch have never come across reports linking City with the 24-year-old, formerly of Liverpool, but the midfielder believes City are keen on him.
Speaking to Tuttosport, Suso said: “To read that teams like Real Madrid, Barcelona and Manchester City are interested in you is a good thing, but Milan is a good team.
“You never know what could happen in the transfer period, but I have always said I am happy as a rossonero.”
Suso mainly plays on the right side for AC Milan, and with Raheem Sterling, Riyad Mahrez and Bernardo Silva all capable of playing there for Pep Guardiola, he would seem an unnecessary luxury for City at this point.
