Mancunain wonderkid Tommy Doyle has signed a professional contract with Manchester City after turning 17 – and says it is the proudest moment of his fledgling career.
The England under-17 midfielder is the grandson of TWO City legends – Mike Doyle and Glyn Pardoe – and is considered one of the most exciting English talents of his generation with the potential to go all the way to Pep Guardiola’s first team.
And Tommy, who is stylistically being compared to Steven Gerrard, couldn’t hide his delight at being handed a pro deal at his boyhood club, declaring it to be his best moment yet and saying he is looking forward to the future.
The proudest moment of my footballing career so far! Delighted to announce that I have signed my first professional contract at Manchester City, a place that I have been at for 12 years, and club that has been a massive part of me since I was born, looking forward to the future💙 pic.twitter.com/Ugzlb3gzRV
