Manchester City have entered talks with representatives of PFA Young Player of the Year, Leroy Sané, about extending his contract, the Telegraph reports.
After a difficult summer, which saw him miss out on going to the World Cup with Germany, and start to the season, Sané has stormed back on to the scene with some impressive performances and although his current deal still has two-and-a-half years left to run, City want to tie down the 22-year-old for at least two more seasons beyond that.
City have already signed Sergio Aguero, Fernandinho, David Silva, Kevin De Bruyne, Gabriel Jesus, Ederson and Nicolas Otamendi to new deals with Sané likely to be next to sign fresh terms.
Despite an ongoing impasse, the Blues also hope to renew Raheem Sterling’s contract in the near future even as Real Madrid step up their interest following the winger’s super show for England against Spain.
Two other players the Telegraph states City hope to also secure to new deals are German midfielder Ilkay Gundogan and wonderkid Phil Foden.
