Manchester City could be set to rival Juventus for the signing of SC Braga winger Francisco Trincão, a stand-out Portugal under-19 international, Italian newspaper La Stampa reports.
Juventus failed with a €7 million bid for the highly rated jewel of Braga in the summer and could return soon with an improved offer of €10 million.
However, Manchester City are now said to be on alert and interested in the teenager, who Atletico Madrid have also been linked with, and could pounce with a rival offer.
Trincão is predominantly a left winger and is under contract at Braga until 2023, with a release clause of €30 million. He debuted for the Portuguese side’s first team in 2016 but has largely been playing for their B team to gain experience.
The player has an impressive 11 goals in 16 caps for Portugal’s under-19 side, a sign of how much potential he has and why the eyes of European giants are on him.
