The 16-year-old, who has already played for the Shamrock Rovers first team both domestically and in the Europa League qualifiers, will remain in Ireland until 2019 before moving to Manchester.
Shamrock Rovers state that they have been working with the player, Manchester City and Ashfield College to put in place the arrangements to allow Gavin to complete his Leaving Certificate next year.
Bazunu made his debut for the Shamrock Rovers first team against Bray Wanderers in June 2018, becoming, at 16 years and 109 days, their youngest ever goalkeeper. He has kept a clean sheet in all four of his league appearances and impressed home and away against AIK Stockholm in the Europa League qualifiers.
Upon arriving in Manchester, he will enter the academy system and City will hope he will become the next in a chain of talented goalkeepers to come through the ranks at the Etihad Stadium.
