Manchester City will play Premier League side Fulham at home in the Carabao Cup fourth round after the draw was held on Saturday night.
The current holders recently met Fulham in the league at home, coming out 3-0 winners thanks to goals from Leroy Sané, David Silva and Raheem Sterling, and must now play them again in the League Cup.
Pep Guardiola fielded a much changed side in the third round but after some early resistance from League One’s Oxford United, came out comfortable winners with Phil Foden scoring his first City goal in a memorable performance.
With Fulham coming to the Etihad, Guardiola must again decide how to rotate his side and it is likely we’ll see a similar lineup to that he fielded at Oxford.
Carabao Cup fourth round fixtures are scheduled to be played in the week commencing Monday 29 October. City’s rescheduled fixture with Tottenham will be played on that Monday, so there will be very little recovery time before the Fulham game, assuming it is played on the Wednesday.
The full Carabao Cup fourth round draw is as follows:
1. Manchester City vs. Fulham
2. Bournemouth vs. Norwich
3. Arsenal vs. Blackpool
4. Leicester vs. Everton or Southampton
5. West Ham vs. Tottenham
6. Middlesbrough vs. Crystal Palace
7. Chelsea vs. Derby
8. Burton vs. Nottingham Forest
