Manchester City players were curiously absent from Tite’s most recent Brazil squad for a variety of reasons, but three of them are back for the next set of fixtures.
Brazil face Saudi Arabia and arch-rivals Argentina in October, with City trio Ederson, Danilo and Gabriel Jesus back in the fold after receiving call-ups.
Veteran midfielder Fernandinho is again left out though, and at the age of 33 and with younger players such as Arthur and Fred now involved, he may struggle to add to his 49 caps for the Seleção.
When Fernandinho joined City in 2013 at the age of 28, he had just five Brazil caps to his name, but the exposure of playing at a higher level has led to him two World Cups and many international memories to eventually retire with.
Danilo’s inclusion comes despite the versatile full-back not playing a minute since the World Cup, but he has been training lately and his Manchester City return appears to be imminent.
