Cardiff boss Neil Warnock reveals Man City star is his favourite player in the world

Manchester City travel to Wales to face Cardiff City tomorrow afternoon and Bluebirds boss Neil Warnock is a big admirer of one player in particular who will be up against his side.

Speaking to the upcoming edition of Soccer Saturday on Sky Sports, the 69-year-old revealed that City magician David Silva is his favourite player in the entire world of football.

“[David Silva is] my favourite player in the world,” Warnock said. “He just does everything simple, it looks like he never breaks a sweat, but he does everything what you as a manager dreams of.

“To be at that level at Man City for so many years – you forget how long he’s been there – he never changes. If anything, he’s he’s like a real nice bottle of wine, he just gets better with age.”

Silva is now in his ninth season as a Citizen and will go down as one of the Premier League’s all-time great midfielders. The 32-year-old is considering a return to Spain with his beloved Las Palmas when his City contract expires at the end of the 2019-20 season.
