The agent of crocked Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has confirmed what City Watch exclusively revealed on Friday, that the Belgian playmaker is back in light training.
Speaking to HLN, the 27-year-old’s agent, Patrick De Koster, gave confirmation that KDB is running again – albeit gently and without too much intensity yet. De Koster would not speak of a return date.
“I can confirm that Kevin is training again,” said De Koster. “He is running lightly, but we’re not going to say anything about a return.”
Belgium-based HLN is now assuming that De Bruyne will be fit to represent the national team in November, when they face Iceland and Switzerland (home). The publication also ponders whether De Bruyne could in fact return for the mid-October fixtures against Switzerland (away) and the Netherlands.
That may be a stretch but De Bruyne’s return to the training pitch is a sign that his recovery is going well and Pep Guardiola can expect him back before the hectic festive period of fixtures.
