After a successful two years in Holland with NAC Breda, Manu Garcia is continuing to impress having stepped up a level to France’s Ligue 1, where he joined Toulouse on a season-long loan from Manchester City in the summer.
Garcia, 20, is one of the most highly-regarded young players on City’s books and this may be a defining year for him if he is to every break into Pep Guardiola’s star-studded midfield.
And he has started well at Toulouse, growing into life in Ligue 1 quickly. His best performance to date came at the weekend as Toulouse won on the road at Guingamp, with Garcia assisting Max Gradel in the second minute.
Manu’s overall performance in the win led to him being named in L’Equipe’s Ligue 1 Team of the Week for the first time.
