Manchester City to play League One side Oxford in Carabao Cup third round

Holders Manchester City will play League One club Oxford United away in the third round of this season’s Carabao Cup after the draw was held tonight.

City won last year’s trophy with a resounding 3-0 win over Arsenal at Wembley, and have made a habit of winning the League Cup (currently called the Carabao Cup for sponsorship reasons) in recent years, with Vincent Kompany lifting the trophy in the 2013/14, 2015/16 and and 2017/18 seasons at Wembley.

The match will be take place at the 12,500 capacity Kassam Stadium in the week commencing 24 September with an exact date to be determined.
