Lyon are poised to complete the signing of defender Jason Denayer from Manchester City on Monday, with the player set to undergo a medical.
The Ligue 1 club appeared out of nowhere in the race for 23-year-old Denayer on Friday when the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas said a deal had been struck.
Despite talk of a Saturday announcement, Denayer has still not joined the French club, but L’Equipe journalist Bilel Ghazi has tonight said he is expected in Lyon on Sunday night ahead of a Monday medical.

It has yet to be clarified if Denayer will join Lyon on a permanent deal or loan, although the wording of French reports seems to suggest the 8-cap Belgian will be ending his five-year stay at Manchester City.
Celtic, Galatasaray and Torino were also interested in acquiring the versatile defender, who can also play as a holding midfield, but all signs now point to Lyon confirming his signing at the beginning of the week.
